Aditi was born on 5th september in, Bangalore.

Family:
Her father, Raj Chengappa, a Coorgi, is the Editor-in-Chief of The Tribune Group of Newspapers, while her mother, Usha Chengappa, a Tamilian, is the Delhi Centre Head at Bharat Thakur's Artistic Yoga.
Her great grand aunt Rukmini Devi Arundale was an Indian theosophist, dancer and choreographer of the Indian classical dance form of Bharatnatyam. Her other great grand aunt is legendary carnatic singer DK Pattamal. Her brother, Aneesh Chengappa, is an aspiring Electronic Music Artist.

Education:
Aditi studied at Vasant Valley School and then at Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi. She has been trained in both Hindustani classical and western vocals. She is also an accomplished pianist, representing both school and college..When she was in college, she hosted a health show, "Bodylicious" on NDTV Good Times, with her mother Usha Chengappa. She teaches yoga for Bharat Thakur Artistic Yoga whenever she's not shooting.

She is also very passionate about photography, cooking, craftwork and video games. She is an animal and nature lover.
